On dailymotion.com, HTML5 video playback is blank with only sound.  Disabling OMTC by setting layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled to false allows the video to playback properly.

I have flash player completely uninstalled, because it recently keeps causing my system to BSOD every time I play a video then leave my computer idle.

To reproduce, simply make sure than neither Flash Player nor any other video plugin is unavailable to Firefox then play videos on dailymotion.com.  Double-check your layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled settings to make sure you're properly trying to reproduce this issue as noted in this post.

I'm using the latest Firefox nightly build and yes this is Windows 8.1 x64 fully patched.

NOTE: The problem persist even if I disable all my extensions and plugins but leave OMTC enabled.  I have to specifically disable OMTC to get the video working correctly.  And of course it works in safe mode, because OMTC is disabled in safe mode.

By the way, the first sentence of the last paragraph of my first post has a typo and should read: "To reproduce, simply make sure than neither Flash Player nor any other video plugin is __available__ to Firefox then play videos on dailymotion.com."

I just tested this again after uninstalling Hyper-V and installing VirtualBox and can no longer reproduce.

I wonder if this OMTC issue happens only if Hyper-V is installed, but I don't really want to now uninstall VirtualBox and reinstall Hyper-V, as I've already gone through at least 20 reboots today already.

The BSODs are definitely not related to Hyper-V, because I originally had VirtualBox installed and remove it to see if the BSODs would cease.  Only after no longer using Flash Player with Firefox did my computer stop crashing (so far).
