RESOLVED WORKSFORME

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0
Build ID: 20150421092928

Steps to reproduce:

I tried to access gmail through several ways, such as typing the address into my address bar, trying to access it through a google search, and clicking on the gmail redirect on the google homepage.

Actual results:

"The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

Expected results:

The gmail page should have loaded.
Thanks for taking the time to report this!
Does the problem still happen if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? (Safe Mode disables extensions and themes, hardware acceleration and some JavaScript stuff in order to exclude some possible reasons for problems. It does not disable plugins which are add-ons.) See http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode

And does this also happen with a new and empty profile? See http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile and http://support.mozilla.org/kb/Managing%20profiles

It didn't work after I started in safe mode, but it did work when I created a new profile.

Hey, it's working on my main account now!
Might be your add-ons or settings, but not Firefox itself. Hence closing this ticket as WORKSFORME.
