To give users quicker access to their passwords we could implement a widget with a button to open about:passwords.
"Quick" might be a relative term -- there'll be a 2-10 second wait for Gecko to initialize unless they used the browser recently.

Might be better to take a dependency on Bug 946857 and build a real Java UI for this.

Yeah, I'm aware of startup time. How about "less taps".

On the mailing list I was suggesting we could do this as a first step before a separate app as that seems like it could be a ways out unless the recent performance issues of about:passwords ends up driving that sooner.
As a workaround, users can probably add about:logins as a homescreen shortcut.
I assume/find not so much of a priority even for v2. 

Something we could always add if we see the passwords manager being used more frequently
