About a week ago dougt experienced some issues during Hello calls. The voice part became distorted, almost robotic, and he wasn't able to reproduce the problem easily. This was on nightly.

In one example he had another tab with irccloud.com open and enabled to have audible notifications. So when he was in the Hello talk he would hear a distorted notification.

He also mentioned experiencing this with a noise cancelling headset.

I have tried using irccloud.com with the notification settings set I get a sound when someone pings me, making a Hello call, and seeing if at any point the sounds becomes distorted, but so far I have not been able to reproduce the problem.

pkerr is adding logs in bug 1169328 to get better visibility into where this problem is happening. Once we pin down where, I can find the right person to look at it. (It's unclear at this point if the problem is inside or outside of Opus.)

We'll need more info from captures or steps-to-repro to attack this. It isn't sure how Juan created the attached video, unfortunately.
