I was using Mozilla 0.9.7 to connect to the news server news.cable.ntlworld.com
and accidently entered the wrong address for the news server. I entered
news.cable.ntlworld.co and it wouldnt work (obviously) and then I went to the
mozilla news page (default page) for each news server page. When you try and
subscribe to newsgroup option it hangs (Newsgroups - Subscribe to Newsgroups).
So if you use the same main page to alter the settings to alter the .co to .com
and then click ok (Accouts -View settings for this account/Server Settings) and
try to correct the .co to com it hangs the system. Even with latest build as of
21/12/01 / Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.7) Gecko/20011221
I can't reproduce this using 2001-12-18-03, Windows 98. I tried making a new
news account with my newsgroup server's address minus the last character, then I
popped up the "Subscribe to Newsgroups" window and the result was first a second
of loading, then an alert: "Connection to the server Failed", or something like
that.

No hang, just an alert telling me it couldn't connect to the server.
Keywords: hang
Me too, this immediately brings up a dialog with 'Failed to connect to server'.

Re-opening. I see this now. It's in the server settings, and hitting 'OK' does
indeed hang the browser (same build as mentioned above). Sorry about that.

Is this really a nsbeta1+, P2? If yes, then we need to try and targeted to a
mielstone M1.0 or earlier to make the beta.

I can't reproduce this anymore - changing values in the Server Settings panel of
the Account Manager to incorrect values and back to correct values wfm. Build
2002-03-08-08. Stuart, can you check this again and report back? Otherwise
I'll just mark it wfm in a few days. Thanks.
I'm marking it wfm to get it off the radar. Stuart, please re-open if you see
this with recent builds.
