Details

Mac OS X 10.7.5 'Lion'
Shockwave Flash plugin version 17.0.0.134
SeaMonkey '2.35pre' universal binary (self build from c-r rev 155cdaf3dceb / m-r rev 62bee8cdd19f)
new profile

STR:
1) Tools > Add-ons > Plugins > Shockwave Flash: set to "Ask to activate"
2) Restart SeaMonkey (may not be needed?)
3) Open a local SWF file (a SWF with a file:// URL) (e.g. Cubefield from http://www.yoarcade.net/gamesforyourwebsite.php ) with SeaMonkey
4) Activate the SWF file by clicking the placeholder
5) Try to use the keyboard within the swf

Expected results:
Flash responds to keyboard input

Actual results:
Flash is completely unresponsive to the keyboard.
Need to have activated Flash with the address bar doorhanger for the keyboard to be responsive.

In SeaMonkey '2.36pre' (self build from comm-beta rev b80e51a7c88a + the patch from bug 1176599 / mozilla-release rev 78c25ce5f523), you can unfocus then refocus the window, *or* switch to another tab then back, and the keyboard will work in the Flash.
(I don't think this was the case in the 2.35pre I reported this issue with...)

Well, EOL of FLASH will be 2020-12-13. I don't know whether this bug still does exist, currently I always get message "You do not have the latest version of Flash installed" although I hav installed Flash version recommended by that message ...

We won't do anything here after years of inactivity.
