From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.7) Gecko/20011221 BuildID: 2001122108 Tabbed browsing and SSL encryption interact badly. It seems that having a tab open to a non-encrypted site will prevent SSL entryption from being turned on in a second tab in the same window. Reproduce: Start mozilla Go to https://www.firstunion.com/FrontLineLogin.html without any tabs Note that View -> Page info -> security says encryption is enabled. Open a second tab and go to the same url, now there are two tabs, both with encryption enabled. Now, replace the contents of the first tab with freshmeat (http://freshmeat.net). Now, notice that the second tab no longer has the lock icon, and View -> Page Info -> Security says the connection is not encrypted. Similar results can be had by starting mozilla, going to freshmeat first, then opening a second tab and going to the https url. Mozilla says that no encryption enabled in the second tab. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. See description above. Actual Results: Mozilla either claimed to drop encryption on the connection, or claimed that encryption was never enabled for the connection. Expected Results: https tabs should not be sensitive to other tabs containing http links.
