This actually seems to be working fine, terrible at debugging makefiles but https://github.com/mozilla-b2g/gaia/blob/master/Makefile#L352 is there to normalise relative paths, a |GAIA_DISTRIBUTION_DIR=distros/spark make reset-gaia| worked fine here
