Steps to reproduce:

I have a lot of unsorted bookmarks (14.000) this is archive of years of Firefox use.
But on mouse over on menu Unsorted Bookmarks my Browser Crash.

I like all the 14.000 bookmarks... I don't want to delete.

Actual results:

Crash on open Unsorted Favorite Menu (14.000 items)


Expected results:

Menu Work without script crash.

What you're describing doesn't sound at all like a crash. What's the exact error message, “Unresponsive Script” or something else?

I have the same issue when trying to open Bookmark in the Menu Toolbar,  Firefox 40.0.3, Win 7 Pro 64bit, stops responding and then, 30 seconds later, the unresponsive script warning:
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in the debugger, or let the script continue.

None of the options: Continue, Debug, Stop help much. Sometimes have to force Firefox to close.  Have totally removed FF, updated to most current edition, cleaned registry and any leftovers, reinstalled; have started in the Safe mode to try to rule out add-ons, have checked for a corrupted places.sqlite database file; have tried suggestions from anything found by Google.  Have 2 HP dv7 laptops differing only in Win 7 Pro/Ultimate.  I am unable to import bookmarks on the Ultimate, the script issue just stops successful completion.  Not a programmer, just a long-time user/designer of small real time computer controlled control systems, from the Intel 4004, core memory, RTL, TTL, TI programmable control systems.
That the problem has almost identical problems on 2 computers raises the question of Firefox software/ companion products.  It is possible for the error to have originated in the Win 7pro, since earlier, I was having problems with:  Class not registered, other odd infrequent problems.  Did a clean reinstall/upgrade per sys7 forums, with other odd issues disappearing.
Any obvious fixes?

I have some problem with [e-mail].
The problem occurred when trying to open "Unsorted Bookmarks" on Toolbar.
I have many bookmarks (a lot of bookmarks).

And crash browser, I need force to close the Firefox process to solve this.
The problem occurred on all my windows machines.
The Problem occurred on Linux too.

The problem don't create crash message or report... only crash
