1176534 - When using email list Thunderbird flag an error and does not allow to send message unless list name is in same format as email i.e. [e-mail]

Steps to reproduce:

I have email list called !SPAM 
for spamcop, knujon, etc.

AFTER NEWEST UPDATE (it worked ok before)
when typed !SPAM it flagged error that email address is incorect.
list worked BEFORE Thunderbird update.
VERSION: 38.0.1 (up to date)
to proceed had to add dummy server name for example
![e-mail]
where !SPAM is a list name and @test.co.uk is added to pass email address validation.




Actual results:

failed to send email (error: !spam is not a valid email address...)
also copied part of list name to second email address entry field (see screenshot)



Expected results:

email should have been sent without problems.

I cannot reproduce this.
Does this happen with Thunderbird in safe mode?

Hi

I have tried:
1. in safe mode - bug still exists
2. after PC reboot - bug still exists

Sent email with additional screenshots to confirm the above.

Hi. I have found that removing comma from list COMMENT (second, long field) 
is a workaround so bug could be related to 1175900 but displayed error suggest otherwise
(and another workaround which is adding to a name i.e. !SPAM<....,....>) dummy server name
(change !SPAM<spam do copa,cert,knujona> --> !SPAM<spam do copa,cert,knujona>@xx.yy)
