Details

Under 0.9.7, Linux (i686) (the only thing I have), when I go to download a file,
if I click on the link and wait for the "open or save to disk" menu, and click
"save to disk," the filename in the file-browser thing is correct. If I right
click on the same link (for example, if left-clicking causes Mozilla to try and
display the file if it's text) to bring up the context menu and hit "save link
as," the text of the link is inserted as the filename instead of the file's name
on the server. So if I click on a link called "a file" and the file's stored as
file.tar.gz, it will bring up the default name of "a file" in the save box,
which is usually a pretty useless name.
My guess would be that this bug is already posting and I just didn't see it
(though I searched several times for it.) It's getting pretty annoying to type
out long Linux filenames instead of just right-clicking, going "save link as"
and hitting enter.

Might be unrelated, but sometimes the filename filter will say "All files (*.*)
(*.*)" as opposed to "*.gz (*.gz)" or "All Files (*)"
That is, it does the "All file (*.*) (*.*)" when the bug described here occurs.
Duplicate of "<title> [or link text] is used as default filename when doing Save
Page [or Save Link]"
