We really ought to provide some kind of high level overview of treeherder's basic data model (repositories, result sets, jobs, etc.) in the documentation as understanding it is basically a prerequisite to being able to write code that either submits or retrieves data.

The python client documentation (http://treeherder.readthedocs.org/submitting_data.html) I brought over when I merged that in starts to cover this topic, but it's mixed in with all sorts of discussion of submitting data which confuses the issues. I say we put that information in its own section and simplify some of the submission documentation to just refer to the overview.

Much of this is no longer relevant given schema simplification and people now submitting via taskcluster.
