In commit 4feae6791c0da9535a1c4c347e473ebc996c9d39 libvpx removed hookable allocators, which we were using for reporting. We should patch them back in, probably by just redefining malloc &c. to be the VPXReporter wrappers. Or figure out what James Zern meant by 'there are other ways to achieve this'.

Clearly, I didn't think it's too important, although better diagnostics are good to have. Reassigning to nobody; anyone's welcome to take up implementing this.
