After connecting to my home wifi network (which has native IPv6 via Comcast), the device shows only an IPv4 address, without any listed IPv6 address.

This is a known issue as we've disabled IPv6 support on the Aries device. Hsin-Yi, is there a (meta-)bug for re-enabling IPv6?

Actually, the property we disabled in bug 1171185 only affects data call, wifi does not refer to that property. AFAIK, wifi does not support ipv6 yet, at least not in gecko. However, ipv6 address can be obtained/calculated automatically in kernel (stateless address autoconfiguration), but I am not sure how well wifi handles this. Looping wifi folks for more details.

The device is typically config to use dhcpcd, a ipv4 DHCP client. That's why wifi doesn't support ivp6 at the moment.
