"In bug 1057091, we have added support for ipv6 tethering, but it doesn't work on pure AOSP, it only runs on proprietary builds, so ipv6 tethering is disabled by default."

This bug is to discuss how we add support of ipv6 tethering regardless of devices.

we could write a patch for netd to add ipv6 forwarding and nat support. We'd have to define our own socket api extension and rewrite our code when google adds support for them. Or we could maintain our own fork, perhaps get our patches accepted by google.
