(Keywords: flashplayer)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0
Build ID: 20150807085045

Steps to reproduce:

I updated to Firefox 40.0

Actual results:

Lost 'handCursor' on all buttons on an html embedded Flash application. Flash player 18.0.209.
Updated the flash player to 18.0.232 but issue persists.
There is indication that something is trying to happen. The cursor flickers when the cursor is moved over the button repeatedly.
Issue is not present when when SWF is launched directly in the browser.
Issue is not present in IE

Expected results:

Ordinarily, When mousing over a button or a movieClip with buttonMode enabled in flash player, the cursor should change from an arrow to a hand.
Update - The issue appears to have resolved itself. The only thing I did was to open a new tab and I got the message that things have changed in Firefox 40.0. I hit the 'got it' button, launched the Flash app in a second tab and hey presto it now works...
