I have a Hebrew (unicode) Keyboard installed. However, when I attempt to switch
to it in order to write in web forms, it is unavalible

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to any Hebrew form
2. Try to switch to the Hebrew keyboard

Actual Results: it is unavalible

Expected Results: it should be avalible

the Hebrew keyboard I use is defined in the system actaully as "unicode". You
can get a copy here:

This isn't exactly a dupe of bug 119860, but my remarks in
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119860#c2 apply here also.

Summary: Can't type hebrew in web forms → Can't type hebrew using a unicode keyboard in web forms
With current builds, this sometimes works and sometime not. Not sure about why each.

did some more investigation: it seems that I am only able to switch to a unicode
keyboard when there are no tabs open. The moment I have more then one tab, the
unicode keyboard becoms unavalibe. Since I use tabbed browsing a lot, this is a
real pain...
Shoshannah, are you able to use other Unicode keyboard layouts such as Extended
Roman? I noted in my bug 115887 that when Unicode keyboard layouts become
unavailable, putting Mozilla in the background, then bringing it back to the
foreground seems to make them available again.
Summary: Can't type hebrew using a unicode keyboard in web forms → Can't type Hebrew using a Unicode keyboard in web forms
Mac OS 10.2 now come with Hebrew support "out of the box"- but Hebrew uses a
unicode keyboard (indenticl to my hakced one), so this is getiing more major.
Shoshannah, any response to my comment #8?
Frank, in regards to your comment 3, should your old bug 23363 be reopened?
this should work.
do you still have the problem ?
we know flash have some problem with ime or keyevent. make sure you do not have
a flash display when you test it (flash not needed in the same page, as long as
it is initial but not shutdown, it has problem right now.)
mark this bug as invalid to force retest. please reopen if you can reproduce
this bug . I cannot
