Bug 952456 introduced the ability to copy rich text. To properly support pasting rich text in emails will take some work, specifically around email encoding to refer to multiple mime parts, as well as extra care around sanitizing the text for security issues. In the meantime, just allow pasting the plain text version of the copied text, as outlined in bug 952456 comment 83 and 84.
