1211566 - Installed latest version of firefox 41.01. Then on 10/1 installed kb3093266 now firefox crashes on startup

Installed latest version of firefox 41.01 then on 10/1 installed latest windows 10 cumulative update kb3093266.  Now firefox crashes whenever you open the browser.  uninstalled it completely including removing all traces from registry and user profile as well as running cc cleaner 5.10 to ensure clean removal.  Installed clean with full version download of firefox 41.01 and no luck.  As the latest windows 10 update is not affecting anything else except for firefox I have not removed.  Please advise.

If you downgrade to FF40 or older, does it work?

If yes, provide some crash reports from about:crashes (bp-...).

Sorry to take so long but no go.  My next step will be to uninstall the latest windows 10 update and see if firefox starts working again.

Ok restored windows 10 system to 9/23 (when I installed the kb3093266 patch).  Firefox now works fine.  I am going to try and install the patch again to see if I can recreate the issue.

Ran latest update for firefox first.  it is now at version 41.0.1.  Ran flash player update for windows 10 internet explorer; rebooted.  No issues with firefox.  Ran kb3093266 (cumulative windows 10 upate) now firefox runs just fine.  rebooted several times no issues.  Not sure why the patch screwed things up; but it is not affecting firefox now.

Please close the ticket as this may have been an isolated case
