We're going to have three challenges within the Firefox Friends program for NMIT. 
All of the information around these challenges live on "non-shareable" content cards. 

We need images for these "content cards".

Right now, we only have the copy for Challenge # 1 complete.  *See CTAs and design directions for this. More to come this week!

High-level Details on Challenges below:

Challenge 1:
Engagement Challenge - Week 1 11/3 - 11/7 (Theme Desktop Acquisition):
Top Friends with the highest Audience Engagements WIN
- 1 Grand Prize Winner (FxOS phone + FxF T-Shirt) & 2 Secondary Prize Winners (FxF T-shirts)

Challenge 2: 
Engagement Challenge - Week 2 11/8-11/14 (Theme Desktop Retention):
Top Friends with the highest Social Impressions WIN!
- 1 Grand Prize Winner (FxOS phone + FxF T-Shirt) & 2 Secondary Prize Winners (FxF T-shirts)

Challenge 3: 
Engagement Challenge - Weeks 3 & 4 11/15-11/28 (Theme Mobile (iOS & Android) Acquisition):
Top Friends with the highest Social Impressions WIN!
- 1 Grand Prize Winner (FxOS phone + FxF T-Shirt) & 2 Secondary Prize Winners (FxF T-shirts)

Image specs: 768px wide  334px tall

NOTE: those are the recommended specs from SocialChorus but I'm finding that this size still appears very pixelated. Can we explore with sizing in this effort to try to see what really is the best fit for us. When I use image made for social they upload nicely with no pixelation but of course since they are built in different specs, logos or images on on the sides sometime get cut off.

Info on Challenge 1 Image (due by Nov 2):

This challenge is all about getting our Firefox Friends to share Firefox Acquisition related content cards in an effort to get the most engagement from their friends across their social networks.

The big incentive is the grand prize = FxOS Phone

For the image, I'd love to explore leading with the incentive for the first challenge... 
My proposed copy for the image is " Win a Firefox OS Phone!" but I'm open to suggestions from our copy writers. 

As for the design, I was thinking of design that would somehow convey the emphasis on Fx Acquisition amplification efforts = winning a FxOS phone...not sure if there is way to say all that in one design or if we should go with one of the other. I'm also open to suggestions here from our designers. 

Apologies on the tight timing for this first challenge image. 

I'd say let's try to keep it as simple as possible for this first one in an effort to get it done before Nov 2. 

Also, please keep in mind that we plan to post these challenges in four other languages so if there is a way to convey the challenge without text at all for the other languages that would be ideal! If not, I'm going to proceed to ask our localizers to localize "Win a Firefox OS phone!" for now... and if we get a better reco from our writers, we can see if we have enough time to add those into the images before Nov 2.

Hey Jess, 

Unfortunately, we're most likely not going to be able to produce something for November 2nd. We generally need two weeks notice, and with everything still needed for next Tuesday, resources are currently really tight. 

I'm going to assign it to Matt, but he has other priorities to finish first. 

With this in mind, can you offer alternative dates for getting the cards?

What if we push back the challenge card images a bit and have them due on the following dates: 

Challenge 1 Image: DUE Nov 6 (1 week and 2 days to produce)
Challenge 2 Image: DUE Nov 13 (over 2 weeks to produce)
Challenge 3 Image: DUE Nov 14 (over 2 weeks to produce)

Can we commit to the timing above? Unfortunately, I can't push these challenges back any further.

3.  Share to Win

I do love the illustrated approach btw!

Hey Jess, I have part of today set aside to finish the graphics for the remaining challenges. With the first challenge we used the incentive as the main hero image, but I realize that the other challenges use the same incentive, so probably not ideal to repeat for these?

I am wondering if you can give me some other ideas to how we can differentiate. I see the above copy lines you've suggested, which I think could make interesting visuals using mostly just typography. I am assuming these would need to be localized though. 

Ideally I would like to use the same similar styling (colours, flat look) to keep some consistency through the 3 challenges.

Hey Matt! 

Social Chorus just replied about another size to try: "the best images have a 2:1 ratio. Can you try the image with specs of 668x334" 

As for the attachments I just added,I wanted to note that for the usual content cards, I re-use the social images you make for Facebook (although they are obviously not made for these content cards, they look nice and clear, sometimes the logos get cut off or something isn't centered but I wanted to note the clarity of the images compared to how pixelated the images made with those specs socialchorus originally requested):

Hey Jess, I'd be curious to see how these work for you. I've doubled the resolution as well as resized to a 2:1 ratio. This should help both the quality level and the positioning. Challenges 2 and 3 to follow.
