I see this on my blog (a build of the latest fx-team): http://blog.margaretleibovic.com/2014/08/01/firefox-for-android-search-experiments.html The icon doesn't appear on desktop for this site, so maybe it's a bug that it appears at all?

Hm, it does appear now on desktop when I tried again... not sure what's going on there. Maybe it has to do with Disqus JS loading slowly. In any case, clicking on it should do something :)

Ahh, that's interesting - this is because we don't show doorhangers for about: pages, and readermode starts with an about: url. We should special-case readermode and keep the site identity information for readermode, as well as enable the site identity popup. This is related to bug 1099088, but readermode (despite being an about: page) should definitely not be included.
