With Firefox 42.0 in German on Windows 8.1 64 bit, I see that the German snippet with the translation of "Go bold with these 15 colorful themes to brighten your browser. Try a new look." has a double fullstop.
This can't be seen in the localization: https://github.com/mozilla-l10n/engagement-l10n/blob/master/de/snippets/nov2015_a.lang#L22

So where does the second fullstop get created?

French doesn't have this issue.
