You cannot remove the *default profile* but you *can* remove the active profile if you don't use the default profile.
1. I'd like to recommend, "Each profile is a collection of folders and files that ..."

I find "a separate world" off the point and overly dramatic. Also, I'd say using the word "separate" twice in a single sentence is questionable in regard to English style.

> Yes. You cannot remove the active profile.
2. I guess it depends on how you define "active". As I once - to my horror - discovered, when Fx is closed, (using Windows Explorer) you can delete *any* profile.

If you really want to help newbies, somehow program a hook into the OS that says "WARNING: you are about to delete your Firefox profile. Any customizations you've made to the program will be gone with the wind" (or something like that).

I cannot see this. about:profiles adds the 'remove' button if the profile is not the 'current' one.

Can you check again? Maybe this issue is already fixed by another patch.

Sorry for the delay. I can no longer reproduce, probably fixed by bug 1233079.

I confirm this is no longer reproducible with latest 46.0a1 (from 2016-01-10), under Windows 7 64-bit and Ubuntu 14.04 64. Marking accordingly.
