I am using a Flame device running OTA 20151222030233

To reproduce the issue make sure you are on a device that didn't use Firefox Sync yet.
Start the Firefox Sync.
After it's done open the browser.

Expected result: the browsing history is visible
Actual result: white page without any browsing history

To get it working you need to close the running browser and open it again. Only then the browsing history imported by Firefox Sync will become visible!
