>> Feature Request Summary: Clear email notifications after its reading on the other device >> Description of feature, or problem to be solved Current situation: 1. The notification appears on the device when received new emails. 2. User reads those new emails from the browser or email client on the PC or on the other device. 3. Notifications for already read emails are not cleared after the next syncronization and also still hanging at the locked screen. In my opinion such behavior should be improved by adding the feature of clearing notifications after the next synchronization.

This has been implemented on the conversations ("convoy") branch. The back-end tracks the current set of new messages. If the message becomes read, it is no longer new. The updated set is propagated to the front-end code to update or revoke the notification. Using a whiteboard flag to ideally try and help make it easier to mark bugs like this fixed when conversations is eventually merged to trunk.
