In the firefox trunk version, clicking 'Activate Memory Fox Next - Browser Only', instantly decreases the memory of firefox.exe process.
In nightly with e10s enabled, clicking that option doesn't decrease memory of  neither firefox.exe nor plugin-container.exe.

With Firefox 57 only WebExtensions are permitted and are, by default, e10s compatible.
