Steps to reproduce:

Clicking, opening http(s):// links from Outlook, Microsoft Word or possibly anywhere outside Firefox.


Actual results:

Sometimes crashes.
Might be related to (I think buggy) behavior that started about same time as the crash (v.44) as every link I open, new process is created but in reality the link opens in existing Firefox new tab not new window. When I close that tab, the process still remains. Every process is about 10MB and when opening a lot of links this might also start to be a problem. I can force kill those processes without any effect on the newly opened tabs or Firefox in general.

Still, crash appears to sometimes happen even after Firefox restart and first link opening.

This behavior - particular crash and also ghost processes, started after FF 44 update.

For some reason there is no recent crash report, Crash Reporter window does not even appear. I doublechecked that I don't accidentally have Environment var MOZ_CRASHREPORTER_DISABLE - no such variable is set.
For additional info, when particular appcrash appears, the whole Firefox does not always freeze, but when if will I must kill all firefox.exe proceses from task manager before I can reopen Firefox.

Update:
Just found out there is update 44.0.2 (I had 44.0.1, no autoupdate) and after update there is no crash yet.
The ghost processes problem has also disappeared.
