This is only shown if you enable a branded build, which is off by default. I don't see a need to remove it at this point.

Why not leave this open? It's not like we're going to use it in the future (well, one can only hope...).
Let's leave this open until we get feedback from legal and marketing.  They are currently reviewing all the bugs that have references to removing "Firefox OS".
