Build: 2002-02-14-13-trunk(WIN) 1. From http://jimbob/trigger3.html, click on Functional drop-down and choose f_addfile_bigfile 2. Click Trigger case button 3. Click Install button from Software Intallation dialog RESULT: Download dialog appears and progress meter grows to reflect download. There is a very long pause (several minutes) before installing occurs (text shows in Download dialog). On Windows NT, the Software Inststallation dialog is very slow to dismiss while the Download dialog appears and starts downloading. The install part appears to behave as expected. Other platforms including Win 98 install this 10.1 MB file without delays. EXPECTED RESULT: File is downloaded and installed in seconds like before.
Nominating. This behavior is so slow that I thought the browser was frozen. Something has changed to create such a degradation in performance. I do not observe this with smaller file sizes. This needs to be fixed so that large downloads do not take longer than they need. I am no a very fast machine with fast downloading, and it took minutes when it should take less than 10 seconds.

The xpinstall script engine has been removed from the trunk, bugs in it are obsolete.
