Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:44.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/44.0 Build ID: 20160210153822 Steps to reproduce: I refer to the version "38.6.0" (which is not contained in the version list above) and to the component "General" (which is not contained in the component list above). My Operating System is Windows XP SP 3. I installed Thunderbird version 38.6.0 in february or march 2016. Some days later I wrote an email. After having completed the email (address, reference, email text) I clicked on the button "Attachment" in the Thunderbird menue. I repeated this action many times ever since with the same result as described below. Actual results: nothing (no reaction) Expected results: The window titled "Attach File(s)" should have appeared, allowing me to select the file to be attached to the email.

This feature works in general, so can you work out what is wrong with your installation? Maybe you want to try in safe mode or with a new profile. Please note: Bugzilla is NOT a support forum. It is a tracking system for bugs in Mozilla products.
