Steps to reproduce:

Nothing, I notice it when I'm writing an e-mail. When I'm typing the program hangs causing glitches when typing.

Actual results:

From time to time thunderbird uses 100% cpu, causing the program to freeze with no apparent reason. I was triggered to write a bug report by this blog: http://rainbow.chard.org/2013/02/19/thunderbird-high-cpu/.

Expected results:

A silky smooth experience like I was used to.
Please start thunderbird in safe mode
