What problem would this feature solve? ====================================== Changes (English edits, new English pages, translation edits, new translations) are passed to Akismet for identification as ham or spam, but do not block the change from being published. Staff can evaluate Akismet's determination and report corrections back to Akismet for training purposes. Who has this problem? ===================== Staff contributors to MDN How do you know that the users identified above have this problem? ================================================================== Currently, Akismet is either on or off. Training mode will give us a third option, improve performance, and provide data for turing it on or off permanently, How are the users identified above solving this problem now? ============================================================ Akismet is off in production, due to a high false positive and false negative rates. Do you have any suggestions for solving the problem? Please explain in detail. ============================================================================== Add a waffle flag adding a training mode, where content is sent to Akismet but does not block publishing. Continue submitting spam and ham through staff-only dashboards. Monitor key performance indicators. Is there anything else we should know? ====================================== This was a blocker for bug 1260253, but it was agreed that it could be done afterwards.

We've implemented training mode as the Waffle switch "wiki_spam_training".
