See for example https://treeherder.mozilla.org/#/jobs?repo=try&revision=19cd851bb6b0&group_state=expanded which I did with -p macosx64, it seems to be running Android lint jobs. This is probably a waste of resources and could be avoided.
Possibly a regression from bug 1254605?
No, this is just an issue with "task" jobs.  I don't know how to make try syntax be better.

I think dustin has plans to address this; he can dupe.

Yeah, we run -j all by default.  I don't think it hurts, and the less that changes with the current setup of try, the faster I can build the new shininess.
