Steps to reproduce:

Started Thunderbird and a window opened stating that there was an update for thunderbird. I clicked on update.

Thunderbird updated to version 45 but my antivirus program keeps pointing to the thunderbird.exe file and states that there is a threat "IPD.ALEXA.51.

Expected results:

An update with no virus attached would be great.

Please state which AV and version you are using.

Thunderbird release process sends relevant data to all the major AV vendors, which happened more than a week ago. So you should not be seeing a problem.
