User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0 Build ID: 20160425115046 Steps to reproduce: Hi, I did the stupid thing of submitting a comment (#126) with a snippet of my logs where my email address appears here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1079659 Actual results: and now, I receive a lot of spam... Expected results: I would like either: - that users are always able to edit their own posts/comments - that, *before submitting* a post/comment, a check for email addresses would be run on the submitted text, that theses email addresses would be highlighted in the text, and that the user cannot submit without confirming she wants to submit these email addresses. - that, *after submission* when displaying a post/comment, *all* email addresses would be "anonimized" automatically, or at least, that instead of showing a "mailto:" link on email addresses, that would open an menu with an option to ask for the "anonimyzation" of the highlighted email address.

See bug 540. Furthermore, a preview exists and highlighting email addresses is overhead as long as there is no algorithm to identify passwords and make them <blink>.
