+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1256615 +++

This happened yesterday's Fennec Nightly, 49.0a1 (2016-05-12). Nightly and a home screen shortcut for my app BzDeck were gone. :adam_s experienced the same issue.
This is an issue we fixed in bug 1268455.
