I recently expanded these tests to run all of the test cases in nested workers.  It looks like that pushed this test case right to the edge of the timeout on android debug.  Here is a passing case:

I think the nested worker test case doesn't actually hold the nested worker alive.  This lets it get GC'd which aborts our various async tests.
