"sketchy" here means "more or less non-functional"

Can you tell us the ID of the access point(s) in that area? Thanks, Dave

Dave - The BSSID is 3c:8a:b0:47:87:c6. Does that help?

Sorry, it doesn't. There is probably an area of the facility where guest wifi is not working well. The fix is to look at the access point in that area, and note its ID number. It should be labelled. Once we know that ID number, we just reboot the access point. Background: our wifi hardware is not so great. We finally have budget to replace it, and we've started that process. So hopefully our wifi will be skads better, and soon.

I'm sorry the BSSID does not help you. Is it better asking for the ID number on the label of the WAP itself rather than the BSSID? If this is the case the mana page https://mana.mozilla.org/wiki/display/SD/Reporting+An+Issue+With+Wireless may need updating. As for the present case, I'm not there is a way to ask Eric to provide us with the information you need.

The instructions you are reading are for when a particular one person has trouble with wifi. I took your report to mean that all people using the guest wifi were having "sketchy" connectivity. Perhaps I should ask: is the problem with one particular user using the guest wifi, or any users using the guest wifi. If it is the latter, is it in a specific area of MTV2? If so, that probably indicates a wifi access point which needs to be rebooted. If so, please tell me the ID of the access point (the AP should be labelled in some manner) and I will reboot it for you. If, on the other hand, this is a problem with just one user, then please let me know that. Thanks.
