Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:47.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/47.0
Build ID: 20160604131506

Steps to reproduce:

installed firefox 47.0 then the latest w10 updates and now experience
connection not secure

may not be related but starting at the same time many sites just display as lists (words) down the left side (yes even the firefox help sites when I can get to them)

Actual results:

tried to get noscript but end up unable to get to it because of the connection problem.

used internet explorer and had no problem
IMHO, an application is blocking the CSS sheets so you have a minimal rendering for websites. What's your antivirus? Can you check its settings about web protection and SSL filtering.

Did you check this FAQ about ESET?
http://support.eset.com/kb3126/?viewlocale=en_US
Was on phone with Eset yesterday (6 16 16) and was told it is FIREFOX problem "that pops up from time to time"... and I should try another browser .. does the problem appear there too? I have done that and the problem is not there .. so it appears to be a ff item.

Beyond that I have gone into ESET and disabled the SSL check.
You can try to uninstall FF (only the .exe, not the profiles) and reinstall, sometimes, I guess, the new executable is added correctly to AV.
Okay.. new FF download..uninstalled FF ..reinstalled.. reset ESET back to what it was..
No change... so just went to eset and turned off SSl .. all work as it did before the reinstall.???

guess since the is a work around..this can be closed. thanks.

I'm marking this bug as INVALID, as it's antivirus issue and should be disabled in addons - http://www.zdnet.com/article/google-and-mozillas-message-to-av-and-security-firms-stop-trashing-https/
