Yahoo search can not be stopped. Set google as default but still yahoo coming up

Steps to reproduce:

Un installed yahoo
Set default search at Google 


Actual results:

Yahoo comes up every time 


Expected results:

No yahoo search anymore

How did you uninstall yahoo as default search engine? 

How did you set google as default search engine?

Did you use the 
about:preferences#search
page to do that?

Which version of Firefox are you using? Type in: 
about:support 
in the address bar to report back the version and buildID
