Please provide a specific example usecase *why* you need a grippy there.

The rendered 'Preview' on enter_bug.cgi is not an input field hence there is no grippy provided by your browser.

When long(many characters) line and too much lines comment, it is necessary when look around the whole.
If you think that there is no problem by increasing the comment column prior to the preview, this problem is not valid.
However, it is inconvenient.

I think this is a reasonable feature request.

Adding:

.bz_comment {
resize: both;
}

to skins/standard/bug.css will accomplish this.

Could the preview area dynamically change size based on the input? 
That sounds like a saner solution that does not require any user interaction at all...

Andre is correct.

You can either do a github pull request or upload a patch (attachment) to this bug, whichever is more comfortable.

The README located in the github repo should be mostly enough info to get it running locally.

Many of the devs are in #bugzilla on irc.mozilla.org if you want to chat.
