User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.85 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Drag msg from source (Local Folders/Inbox) to destination (imap-account/Inbox). Imap server throttles connections and sometimes refuses connections. Msg is deleted from source, and never appears at destination. Data loss. thunderbird 45.2.0 linux.

I was probably thinking of bug 522675 comment 5 and (improved?) bug 522675 comment 7
So I tried to reproduce it as you asked, and looks like a discovered a new bug completely. Tried moving 6 msgs from my Local Folder to an IMAP folder. Switched to offline mode before it could copy. Then I quit thunderbird, and restarted it. Upon restarting, Offline mode was already disabled. 6 msgs were copied to the IMAP server, but it copied 6 copies of a single msg! The other 5 msgs were lost completely (its okay, just using test msgs). So there is another data loss bug for you. But I think my original bug was different, possibly being triggered specifically by the IMAP server rejecting a connection because of connection rate limiting. Anyone have any idea how to duplicate that?

kuneiyai, It might be possible, but now six years later (unfortunately) we must ask, do you still reproduce the problem?
