On Ubuntu 16.04 the awesomebar result items url font size is smaller than the urlbar font size and hard to read, they used to match before Bug 1293308.

to me it looks like now they are the same, while before the panel font was bigger than the input field font.
We could probably increase both of them and reach parity with Chromium. Stephen, what do you think?

on the other side, changing the font size of the input field has more consequences, we should also change the searchbar and ensure to not break the toolbar layout

Bug 1299777 made the size slightly bigger and closer to the text field size if I'm not mistaken.  Actually it just reverted back to the old em values so I think this bug is probably fixed now?

I think the fact is that the em values are small, and looks like previous fixed size was "right", but static. Especially compared to other browsers on the same platform.
We could probably bump up those ems a little bit.
The problem I see is that I don't know if we can do the same in the input field.

The Awesome Bar field text size and the Awesome Bar title text size should be the same. So that part is correct. But it looks like that size is too small on Ubuntu relative to the default size. 

I feel like this is also bug 1186562
