Hi,
I've seen there are nightly builds of Thunderbird-l10n,
https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/nightly/latest-comm-aurora-l10n/

I wonder whether it is possible to enable Kazakh (kk) locale in such builds.
We are currently at 27% translation of Thunderbird Aurora on Pootle. Having such nightly localized builds could help us greatly in our l10n work.

Hi Baurzhan, thanks for working on the kk locale. I need to do some checks before we enable it, and also set up some basic files that are not added by pootle (e.g. all-l10n.js, defines.inc) 

We also have search plugins in Thunderbird. Would you be ok with using the same list you use for Firefox? 

For Firefox it looks like defines.inc was added by pootle, I'll investigate why that doesn't seem to be the case. Maybe it is just missing translation though.

I probably won't get around to doing these checks in the next week or two, but I'm putting myself on needinfo so I don't forget. If it takes any longer, please feel free to comment again to ping me.

Also, it seems your locale is missing all the virtual folders setup. While this wouldn't stop us from adding kk, it is strange to me. If you compare https://mozilla.locamotion.org/kk/firefox/ and https://mozilla.locamotion.org/uz/firefox/ you will see the tbshared folder. I'm putting Leandro on needinfo to see why this is the case.

It's the same with the Kabyle locale. We didn't got our aurora build. The kab locale is fully localized. May be there was something wrong.

If it's never been built before, then without a bug being filed like this one, it won't automatically happen ;)

https://mozilla.locamotion.org/kk/firefox/ is not shown any virtual folder because they are completely translated and they have no pending suggestions and no failing quality checks. When this is the case the virtual folders are only shown to users with admin rights.

[:Fallen] I tried to check that you have permissions on https://mozilla.locamotion.org/ to always see the virtual folders but I don't see any user for you there. I think doing so will prevent this confusion with "missing virtual folders" from happening again, if you are logged in.

Hi Leandro, thanks for the explanation. I did not have an account actually because there was no need to administer anything in the past. Now that I know it is fine for me to not see those folders, but if you would like to give me more rights my new username is kewisch.

Hi Philipp, I have given you the needed rights to always see the virtual folders independently of its status. You can now visit https://mozilla.locamotion.org/uz/firefox/ and https://mozilla.locamotion.org/kk/firefox/ to see the difference when you are logged in and logged out.

Bug 1374054 handled the beta. S we can make this one fixed?

(but no one has commented that they consider this is done)
