Currently in http://www.seamonkey-project.org/dev/get-involved, under
the Community header, we point users to #mozillazine channel, which
is 1) not maintained, 2) dead, 3) has no reference to SeaMonkey in the topic.

I think we might as well point them to #seamonkey.

Maybe "but" rather than "so".

I'm not sure we should be saying "don't ask support questions" more please think before asking and perhaps try a forum / newsgroup first.
