Details
:: Developer Documentation Request Request Type: Correction Gecko Version: unspecified Technical Contact: :: Details The HTML5 specification at https://www.w3.org/TR/html5/tabular-data.html#the-th-element states that <th> elements may contain "Flow content, but with no header, footer, sectioning content, or heading content descendants." However the MDN documentation states that only Phrasing content is permitted. Even the HTML 4.01 specification (https://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/struct/tables.html#h-11.2.6) seems to indicate that both block and inline elements (flow elements) are permitted. If there is a reason for the discrepancy, then it might be worthwhile to note the difference between what MDN has documented and what the specifications state.
