User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.99 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: Disable images, video, and plugins in Firefox. (Basically making it a text-only browser). Actual results: My bandwidth consumption was still really high. I only use Firefox on 3g/4g connections, and never over Wifi. I use Chrome 90% over Wifi. Expected results: Bandwidth consumption should not be high. See attachment from Project Fi app showing bandwidth use by application. So somehow Firefox is still downloading a lot of data.

The results depend completely on the websites you are visiting. Images make up a smaller amount of data transferred by websites these days. Disabling webfonts in the settings, javascript in about:config and video in about:config would result in less data transferred but may ruin your browsing experience. As of right now there is not enough info for this to be an actionable bug. We need specific instances of images that were not blocked. Note it is common for websites that display gifs to transcode the gif into video as the compression on video is much better than the gif format.
