Steps to reproduce:

When I try to scroll vertical text horizontally on touch screen, I found Firefox highlight the texts instead of scrolling. This can be reproduced with Manchu Veritable Records (滿洲實錄) at Wikisource:

This is fixed in newer versions which have e10s/APZ-touch support enabled. That is currently on track to go to release in Firefox 52. Marking FIXED by bug 1244402.
