From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020313 BuildID: 2002031312 Running under Sun's CDE (or Openwin) window manager on a Solaris 2.6 or 2.8 system, I ssh'ed to a Linux RedHat 7.2 box and executed the mozilla binary with the display going to my screen. Not too surprisingly, when I start Mozilla, it reports: (QFA)Talkback error: Can't initialize. In mail, I highlighted message headers in my INBOX and attempted to drag them to a folder. As soon as I clicked and held to drag them, Mozilla crashed. The shell showed this error message: Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) serial 138761 error_code 8 request_code 2 minor_code 0 The serial changed on different instances of the error, but the rest stayed the same. I'm leaving Severity as Normal as normally one doesn't run Mozilla across platforms via X windows. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Log into Solaris 2.8 (CDE), open a terminal, ssh to Linux RH 7.2 system 2. Start up Mozilla on the shell on Linux 3. Start Mozilla Mail, select INBOX, highlight a message and try to drag it to a folder Actual Results: Mozilla crashes with Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) serial 18332 error_code 8 request_code 2 minor_code 0 Expected Results: Mail message should get moved to the folder

Drag and drops of mail messages works for me running on Mozilla 9.9 on a Debian Linux box, and displaying on Sparc Solaris 7 box running Windowmaker. Reporter: does mozilla dump a core when it crashes? Could you get a backtrace and attach it here? (Run mozilla -g, and then type backtrace into the gdb window anfter the crash).

Marking works for me, due to no response from reporter.. Feel free to re-open with more info if the problem still exists.
