In Bug 1082122 - pmac is updating Bedrock to handle 5 character languages for newsletter opt-in forms as set by Basket's Admin language settings for a particular email program.


Outstanding:

Need to update Basket + Bedrock to accommodate 5 character locales for *transactional* messages like our mobile download email (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/android/)


Timing: Q2. 

Would be good to clean up before we have to support more zh-* locales for mobile downloads (potentially later this year).
This is working now right? I think this one is "fixed".

the newsletter is passing through 5 character languages no problem.

For Transactional messages (ie the download to mobile download email) - we're still only supporting 2 characters.

This is okay for now, but if we ever need to support zh-TW & zh-CN for download mobile emails - then we'll need to make this change to basket.

No need to change this today, but it's something we should keep open for if/when the above scenario is needed.
